We are proud to demonstrate our Senior Design GIS Driven Database Application the Discover OU Event. |

We have developed a prototype for the database using the Google Maps API. We have acquired GIS data from the State of Michigan that contains information about all the waterways in the state. The GIS data contains well over 200,000 entries and we are attempting to address the issues of how to break the data up into zones to make it more efficient to query. Additionally, we have obtained information regarding entities that hold permits to dump materials into waterways. Check out the Map It! button on the Menu Bar to check out the Google Maps page. |
